Online retailer Amazon has removed a memoir from its site that claims to tell the story of Sean “Diddy” Combs and long-time former partner Kim Porter’s abusive relationship.

The book, which is a collection of supposed diary entries, was made available on Amazon a week before Diddy’s arrest and it became a bestseller in September.

posted a statement on Instagram saying: “We have seen so many hurtful and false rumors circulating about our parents, Kim Porter and Sean Combs’ relationship. As well as about our mom’s tragic passing.”
They added that claims their mother wrote the book are “simply untrue.”
They added: “Additionally, please understand that any so-called ‘friend’ speaking on behalf of our mom or her family is not a friend, nor do they have her best interests at heart.
“Our lives were shattered when we lost our mother. She was our world, and nothing has been the same since she passed.
“While it has been incredibly difficult to reconcile how she could be taken from us too soon, the cause of her death has long been established.
“There was no foul play. Grief is a lifelong process, and we ask that everyone respect our request for peace as we continue to cope with her loss every day.”
They concluded: “We are deeply saddened that the world has made a spectacle of what has been the most tragic event of our lives. Our mother should be remembered for the beautiful, strong, kind, and loving woman she was.
“Her memory should not be tainted by horrific conspiracy theories. We ask that everyone please respect our mother, Kim Porter, and hold her legacy in high regard so that she may rest in peace. It’s what she deserves. We love you and miss you mommy. Quincy, Christian, Jessie and D’Lila.”“We were made aware of a dispute regarding this title and have notified the publisher,” an Amazon spokesperson said in a statement. “The book is not currently available for sale in our store.”
The independent publisher is Todd Christopher Guzze, who goes by the name Chris Todd, and claims his occupation as an “investigative producer, author and journalist.”
Todd told the Associated Press in September that sources “very close to Kim and Sean Combs” provided him with a “flash drive, documents and tapes” from Porter that he pieced together to create the memoir.
He also used the pseudonym Jamal T Millwood when publishing the title.
Todd also told Rolling Stone: “If somebody put my feet to the fire and they said, ‘Life or death, is that book real?’ I have to say I don’t know. But it’s real enough to me.”
Diddy — who was taken into custody on charges of racketeering, sex trafficking, and engaging in prostitution — has expressed his outrage over the fake memoir.
The 60-page book details shocking allegations against Diddy, including orgies at his house and accounts of abuse, all of which Diddy denies.
While remaining incarcerated, Diddy’s lawyers issued a statement on his behalf, denouncing the book as “offensive” and “shameless.”
Erica Wolf, the attorney, made it clear: “The Kim Porter ‘memoir’ is fake. It is also offensive a shameless attempt to profit from tragedy. Chris Todd has no respect for Ms. Porter or her family, who deserve better.
“Unlike the fabrications in his sickening ‘memoir’, it is an established fact that Ms. Porter died of natural causes. May she rest in peace.”
Porter began her relationship with Diddy in 1994.
She succumbed to pneumonia at her Toluca Lake residence on November 15, 2018, after experiencing flu-like symptoms beforehand.
